LIVINGSTON, NJ – November 23, 2020 – Inteplast Engineered Films (IEF) has launched InteGreen, a revolutionary family of durable and sustainable films incorporating post-consumer resin, bio-based materials, compostability, and recycle-ready properties.
IEF President Bob Stein said, “The IEF team is very excited about officially launching our growing product line under the umbrella of the InteGreen brand. We know how important it is to be responsible to our environment and to provide sustainable product choices as there is no monolithic solution to protecting our ecosystem. Behind our marketing sustainable products under the InteGreen brand are our deep technical, operational, and selling resources that bring answers to customers seeking sustainable solutions.”
The InteGreen film line comprises four types:
- Film made with PCR (FDA-LNO for food or non-FDA for industrial use)
- Film made with bio-based starch for produce, agricultural, and industrial applications
- Recycle ready films
- Compostable films
Steve Griggs, IEF’s Director of Sales, noted that InteGreen’s high performance increases value for customers and is a cost-effective option for suppliers. “Our focus as we developed the InteGreen family of films was to provide brand owners and their supply chain partners options to create sustainable packaging and products without compromising performance and processability. That approach really isn’t any different than how we’ve developed any of our products. For us, it’s all about the film.”
All categories of InteGreen film are designed to support the needs of modern day supply chain and end-user applications in a variety of markets. IEF’s research incorporates standards for its products that protect terrestrial, oceanic, and freshwater ecosystems from harmful waste.
Despite unpredictable and shifting industry requirements, Stein states that IEF’s stellar reputation reflects its consistency in providing capacity. Even while serving markets with high or volatile demands during the past year, IEF’s customer service at its Westborough, MA; Dalton, GA; Prattville, AL; Orlando, FL; and Garland, TX locations has been second-to-none, he said.
Inteplast Group, IEF’s parent company, is the third-highest ranking film manufacturer in North America (Plastics News), and quality and innovation will never cease to be part of its mission to deliver the best in sustainable plastic packaging solutions.
