LIVINGSTON, NJ – February 20, 2019 – Almost 20 years into the millennium, Inteplast Group, a plastics manufacturer with a history of 28 years, needed a website makeover that merged its new business units, products, branding, and sustainability platform without wiping away the hearty, integrity of the Group’s brand. More than 40 colleagues worked together to curate a new Inteplast.com for more than a dozen markets, 1000+ products, and corporate content in a way that makes scrolling so much sweeter.
“A visually modern website is important but it must also reflect the company’s values and its people while being comprehensive for visitors. We now have a site that accomplishes this and a team that knew how to make it happen,” said Brenda Wilson, senior director of human resources and communications.
Website visitors can learn about Inteplast’s reusable plastic corrugated boards just as easily as they can read the specs for BOPP film or can liners made with post-consumer resin. The markets covered by Inteplast include industrial, agricultural, medical, and foodservice to only name a few, however, the seamless design allows users to effortlessly locate any relevant market of interest.
The website project took the Group approximately eight months and involved contributions from colleagues across departments and locations. A priority for the company was that the site project its brand’s modest tone while showcasing a crisp, clean, and high end image, representative of its quality products, excellent customer service, impressive capacity, and rich history.
The multi-departmental Inteplast team included updated versions of products, policies, and images from the people who knew those areas best – from sales managers to research engineers – and gave them a direct hand in creating new content. An in-house communications editor revised all content to create a cohesive tone, clarity, and to ensure text limitations were maintained.
Of the many differences one will notice is that the new Inteplast.com showcases the human side of manufacturing versus its quantitative, spec-heavy side. High quality images take viewers into the plants, offices, and product showcases of the company’s plastics manufacturing professionals. The website is lean on text and offers a user experience that is mobile-friendly and visually engaging.
Testimonials from current employees include topics such as tenure, sustainability, and workplace culture. In addition, the company’s corporate sustainability platform, its history and links to affiliates and business units are easy to find.
