MIDDLEBURY, INDIANA – May 25, 2016 – IP Moulding Inc., a manufacturer of pre-finished moulding, recently submitted its 2015 Indiana Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP) annual report to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
Since 2007, IP Moulding has participated in the Indiana ESP as a charter member. As part of Inteplast Building Products, a business unit within Inteplast Group, IP Moulding has the backing of one of the largest plastics manufacturers in the world with plants and distribution centers located throughout North America.
The Indiana ESP is a voluntary program designed to recognize businesses for their commitment to environmental performance. Participating companies must establish an annual environmental improvement initiative to decrease their overall environmental impact. In 2015, IP Moulding set a goal of using 300,000 pounds of recycled resin in their products to save energy and natural resources. The facility surpassed its goal and used over 450,000 pounds of recycled resin.
For its 2016 goal, IP Moulding will strive to reduce Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in extrusion by a third and use a more environmentally friendly print wash solvent. VOCs are organic compounds which can easily evaporate and contribute to air pollution.
